Heydar Aliyev

    Distinguished son of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev, was born on 10 may 1923 in Nakhcivan. In 1939 after graduating the Nakhcivan pedagogical technical school, he enrolled at the Faculty of architecture in Baku. After graduating from the Faculty of architecture, he received higher education in Leningrad. In 1944, he served in the public security system. After he was promoted to general-major then became deputy and finally the president of the Azerbaijan Republic.

    Heydar Aliyev as a person-this is a historic event. History creates person, and such personalities as Heydar Aliyev creates history. This ingenious personality who belongs to exceptional service in a comprehensive development of Azerbaijan.

    A great patriot of Azerbaijan Heydar liyev was also a real symbol of our independent country. From the highest and reprensative stands Heydar Aliyev said “I always been proud of and today I am also proud that I am Azerbaijanian!”-and all his meaningful life argument that he is the greatest Azerbaijani. Heydar Aliyev was raised at this top by his people, by his trust and confidence. The highest top peak, which he was able to conquer had been the heart of  people. From this top you can see not only yesterday and today of Azerbaijan, but also its prosperous future.

    He left us December 12,2003, on the top of wisdom and guidance. In spite he left us partly. Heydar Aliyev – an identity person. He always will live in our hearts.
