In the life of each people there are events
that are inscribed in history of the Azerbaijani people is
« Khodjaly genocide». That cold february day come in a
history of Azerbaijan as a black date.
At night, from 25 to 26 february, 1992 the
Armenian barbarians, with the support of the 366th rifle regiment,
ransacked a brutal massacre of peaceful, defenceless people and Khodjaly city
was rased to the ground. In just one night , it was brutally killed 613 person,
1275 captured, 150-missing. Residents of Khojaly were subjected to horrible
genocide, were victims of a heinous crime against humanity. Unarmed peaceful
population were subjected to massacre. Corpses were scalped, some had cut off
varios parts of the body, tortured, ripped the abdomens of pregnant women. Part
of people, which trying to escape, was killed in ambushes organized in advance.
The tragedy of Khojaly- it is an incurable
wound of Azerbaijan.
This woud is bleeding. The pain of Khojaly will not subside in the heart of Azerbaijan people
until we return our occupied lands, and put the monument in honour of the
victims of Khojaly tragedy in Khojaly city. I hope that it would be never
repeat event like that in the history of World again. I beg the God, to appease
the souls of all those killed in Khojaly. Let Earth be fluff! Eternal memory!
